We had a great value for our money at Fir Tree Cottage. The room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable sofa in the living room and a warm, comfortable duvet in the bedroom. The location was convenient, with a short walk to Chester Zoo and a nearby pub. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing helpful information about the area and even welcoming us with tea, coffee, and cake.
The breakfast offerings could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

Past guests have praised the overall cleanliness and homely atmosphere of the property, making it a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Additionally, the hosts are described as friendly and attentive, providing thoughtful touches such as homemade cake, milk, and other essential items to make guests feel at home.

Very clean and well-maintained cottage, with fresh flowers and homemade cake on arrival. It was a nice touch to have milk, tea, coffee, and sugar provided in the well-equipped kitchen. The sunny reading room was a great spot to relax and unwind. The location was convenient for the wedding we were attending, and we also enjoyed the excellent local Indian restaurant nearby.
The bed was too hard for our liking, and the traffic noise in the bedrooms was quite noticeable, although we are accustomed to quiet rural surroundings. It would have been more comfortable with softer bedding and pillows.

Fir Tree Cottage was a great value for the money, with a cozy and clean room that had a comfortable sofa and a warm duvet for a good night's sleep. The location was perfect, with a short walk to Chester Zoo and a nearby pub. The staff was friendly and helpful, even providing tea, coffee, and a delicious cake upon arrival.
The only improvement I would suggest for breakfast is a wider menu selection.

Fir Tree Cottage offers a warm and cosy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The friendly owners provide a warm welcome and even leave delicious treats like fruit cake for their guests. The cottage is surprisingly spacious and well-equipped, with a kitchen stocked with coffee, sugar, and even a pint of milk. The bathroom is clean and comes with mini toiletries, and the fluffy towels add a luxurious touch. The convenient location allows easy access to the town center via a quick bus ride.
The limited Wi-Fi can be a bit frustrating, especially if you're hoping to use streaming services like the Fire TV stick.
